Lithography light sources

The EUV source stays with ASML and Gigaphoton; the only small opening is mask-inspection sources, and nobody has shown up there yet.

The callBear for now, because the volume source is a two-supplier, sovereign-money layer and the side markets are tiny. If this is wrong the market goes from $2.4B to $6.7B by 2035 and an inspection-source company rides High-NA qualification.

  1. D122-plus EUV-capable fabs opening between 2025 and 2028 and High-NA arriving in 2027-28, each needing every new reticle qualified.
  2. D2Money is already chasing a new source architecture: xLight with up to $150M of CHIPS money and Substrate at a $1B+ Series A.
  3. R1The volume source sits inside two suppliers and the new-architecture bets are priced at $100M+, a sovereign bet rather than a seed one.
  4. R2The side markets are tiny and shrinking: the actinic inspection-source pool is about $45M and the best exit is Energetiq to Hamamatsu for $42M.
  5. R3ASML and the others are pulling drive lasers, droplet generators and debris control in-house, closing the parts market.
  6. C1ASML's High-NA EUV entering high-volume manufacturing at Intel, where half-field reticles need a new class of actinic mask inspection.2027-28
  7. C2A European inspection or metrology light-source company appearing at an early stage, the first sign the side market has a company in it.end-2027
